No. The manufacturer remains responsible for preparing and maintaining the technical documentation, carrying out the conformity assessment procedure, and ensuring compliance with all applicable EU legislation. EaseCert can review existing documentation and provide compliance guidance as a separate service.
Can EaseCert issue CE certificates?
No. An EU Authorised Representative is not a certification body or Notified Body. EaseCert does not issue CE certificates or perform conformity assessments required by EU legislation.
Will my products receive a CE mark through this service?
No. The CE marking is applied by the manufacturer after completing the applicable conformity assessment procedure. Appointing an EU Authorised Representative does not replace the manufacturer's legal responsibilities.
Can you also act as our GPSR Responsible Person?
Yes. For consumer products subject to the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), EaseCert also provides GPSR Responsible Person services where applicable. Many manufacturers choose both services to simplify their EU compliance.
Can you help with Amazon, eBay, Etsy, or other marketplaces?
Yes. We support manufacturers selling through major online marketplaces by providing the required Authorised Representative information and assisting with compliance documentation where applicable.
